Trackday Academy Stage 2 - Anneau du Rhin FR

Welcome to Anneau du Rhin!

The SPORTEC Trackday Academy in Anneau du Rhin is conducted entirely under the direction of Marcel Faessler. The three-time Le Mans winner, former Audi works driver and one of the most successful sports car racers of the past 20 years is personally present throughout the entire training session – on track, in the paddock and in the briefing room. His expertise is the foundation of this event, not an accessory.

Marcel Faessler is regarded as one of Europe’s most analytical yet intuitive racing drivers. His coaching is built on experience, clarity and a deep understanding of vehicle dynamics. For participants, this means no theoretical monologue, but immediate progress on the racetrack – measurable and noticeable from the first laps.

To participate, you must have successfully completed Stage 1 of the Sportec Trackday Academy.

Schedule

As part of the TCS Trackdays in Lignières, we will be hosting a focused driver training session on July 6–7. The group is intentionally kept small – a maximum of 8 vehicles – ensuring that every coaching session is direct, personal and unrushed. The event begins on the evening of July 6 with a shared aperitif and dinner at the hotel – a relaxed and important part of the format.

Schedule

As part of the TCS Trackdays in Anneau du Rhin, we will host an exclusive driver training on August 11-12th. The Academy is intentionally limited to a maximum of 12 vehicles. Quality over quantity. The event starts on August 11th with an aperitif and a joint dinner at the hotel – not mandatory, but an essential social element of the format.

Training under Faessler’s direct guidance

On track, Marcel personally forms two to three performance groups. This structure is based strictly on each participant’s driving level – not on vehicle class or model year. The group will now apply the fundamentals learned in Stage 1 on a significantly faster and more technically demanding circuit. Anneau du Rhin makes it instantly clear who understands how to build grip, identify rotation points and manage load transfer correctly.

Faessler leads all coaching activities: on-track instruction, guided laps, one-to-one feedback and post-session analysis. He is supported by two experienced instructors who complement the program.

Training objective

The objective is simple: precise, consistent execution of the skills acquired in Stage 1 – but now at higher speeds, longer straights, more complex braking zones and with greater aerodynamic influence. Every participant receives individual feedback. Faessler focuses on measurable progress: brake pressure development, line selection, reaction behaviour and stability at the limit.

Participants drive their own vehicles. Anyone seeking clean, fast and sustainable improvement is in the right place at the SPORTEC Trackday Academy.

Cancellation Policy

By booking an event you automatically agree to our cancellation policy.

A refund of the event fee will be issued in the case of a written cancellation (email) by the participant as follows. For events such as Stage Three or KR-Motorsport Trackdays, fixed organisational costs apply regardless of the timing of the cancellation (minimum 50% of the total cost from the moment of registration). These costs will always be charged.

  • 70–31 calendar days before the event: 50%
  • 30–15 calendar days before the event: 25%
  • 14–1 calendar days before the event: 0%
  • No-show: 0%

The decisive factor is the date on which Sportec receives the written notice in its email inbox. The participant bears the risk of transmission or delivery errors as well as the burden of proof for timely receipt.

We strongly recommend taking out cancellation insurance and motorsport liability insurance.

There is no entitlement to reimbursement of additional expenses such as accommodation, transport, vehicle rental or any other incidental costs.

Transferring a booking to a substitute participant is possible provided that:

  • Sportec is informed of the substitute person in good time,
  • all participation and safety requirements are met, and
  • Sportec approves the transfer.

There is no entitlement to acceptance of a substitute participant. Sportec may refuse a substitute participant in particular for safety, organisational or capacity reasons.

The originally registered participant confirms that the substitute participant agrees to the transfer of their personal data to Sportec.

If a waiting list exists for the event and the vacant spot can be allocated to a person on this list, the original participant will be refunded the event fee minus a 10% administrative fee – irrespective of the cancellation period.

However, there is no entitlement to replacement via the waiting list, nor any guarantee that a replacement is organisationally feasible.

If Sportec is unable to carry out the event, the event fee will be refunded in full.

Further claims are excluded to the extent legally permissible. In particular, Sportec does not cover:

  • travel costs,
  • accommodation,
  • meals,
  • vehicle transport,
  • loss of working time,
  • or any foregone services.

A weather-related change of programme does not constitute a cancellation.

Events such as extreme weather, track closures, official orders, safety decisions, technical failures or force majeure may require programme adjustments, interruptions or postponements.

In such cases, there is no entitlement to a refund, provided the event can be carried out in principle or postponed to a later date. The registration remains valid for replacement dates.

Poor weather alone does not constitute grounds for withdrawal.

If a participant voluntarily leaves the event early – regardless of the reason – no refund of the event fee or compensation will be granted.

Participants are fully responsible for obtaining appropriate insurance (e.g. cancellation insurance, motorsport insurance, health and accident insurance, recovery/transport insurance).

Sportec explicitly recommends taking out cancellation insurance and motorsport liability insurance that also covers motorsport and high-risk activities.

By registering for the event, participants accept these cancellation terms as well as the following liability waiver and the applicable General Terms and Conditions (AGB) of Sportec AG in their current version.

By registering, the customer/participant expressly and irrevocably declares – also on behalf of all heirs and legal successors and to the extent legally permissible – to participate in all test drives, training sessions and racing activities entirely at their own and sole risk and responsibility. The participant fully waives any liability claims against Sportec, its employees, affiliated companies, representatives and staff, and agrees to indemnify and hold them harmless from any claims, damages, demands or liabilities of any kind arising directly or indirectly from their participation in the event.

This liability waiver extends without limitation to all current and future claims asserted against the organiser or its affiliated companies, their representatives, employees or (professional) drivers, including claims arising from property damage, bodily injury or death resulting from the participant’s involvement in the event.

The participant acknowledges that such driving and racing activities inherently involve sporting risks and is therefore solely responsible for ensuring adequate insurance coverage.
